American Gladiators
I loved this show in the 90s and I still love it now. I suppose I have the writers' strike to thank for it. The packaging is really cheesy, but the games look like a lot of fun.

Tonight, one of the contestants (there's always two men and two women competing) was introduced as having a former Olympic-class swimmer for a mother, a former major-league baseball player for a father, and an uncle who's a MLB hall of famer. Her name is Tatum Yount. I know who I'm rooting for.
Comments:
Calling her father a MLB player is sort of funny. While with the Astros, he was called in from the bullpen for the 9th inning. His elbow stiffened during his warm-up pitches and he was pulled without pitching to a single batter, but still got credit for appearing in a MLB game. That's his total MLB career.

Damn! I hit the Old Blue link before I hit yours. The computer's doggin' it.

This gal's dad isn't Robin, I take it.

Moving to Minnesota converted me into a Twins fan, I'm afraid, though I knew who were the great Brewers before that. Are there any great Brewers now?
